Ration Kit Distribution for Flood-Affected Families

This project was conducted to provide immediate relief to families affected by floods in Dhoni village. It focused on meeting essential food and hygiene needs while reinforcing Rotary’s ongoing engagement in the community through education and welfare activities.

The initiative was entirely supported and executed by Rotary Club of Biratnagar Downtown.

5. Beneficiaries:

70 flood-affected families from one basti of Dhoni village under Jahada Gaunpalika. These families had lost basic supplies due to flood damage and were in urgent need of assistance.

6. Impact / Outcome:
   • Immediate relief and food security provided to 70 households.
   • Restored hope and morale among flood-affected families.
   • Enhanced Rotary’s visibility as a reliable community partner during crises.
   • Encouraged community participation and collective responsibility.

7. Sustainability:

The project area is also home to the club’s Three-Month Adult Literacy Program, ensuring continued engagement and empowerment. Regular follow-ups will assess post-flood recovery and identify future community needs.
