The project was supported by Rotary Club of Biratnagar Downtown, as part of Region 7, in coordination with Rotary Club of Mechinagar, which led the flood relief operations. Rotary members assisted in procurement, packaging, and transportation, ensuring timely delivery to affected communities. 

Beneficiaries

The project benefited 200 women in flood-affected areas of Jhapa, providing essential hygiene products that helped maintain dignity and health during the crisis. 

Impact/Outcome

This initiative immediately improved menstrual hygiene management for women in emergency conditions, reducing risks of infections and health complications. It also promoted awareness of the importance of hygiene and sanitation during disasters. The timely relief instilled confidence in the affected women that they were not forgotten and strengthened Rotary’s reputation as a responsive and compassionate organization. The intervention created a positive ripple effect by inspiring community members to support vulnerable women during disasters.
