Tree Plantation Campaign – Phase 1

Tree Plantation Phase I was successfully conducted on Monday, 6 July 2026, at the Primary Health Care Center, Jhorahat, Morang. As part of Rotary Club of Biratnagar Downtown’s commitment to environmental sustainability, a total of 150 saplings were planted and distributed to the local community. The plantation included valuable species such as Bay Leaf, Kapoor, Harro, and Mangosteen, selected for their environmental, medicinal, nutritional, and economic importance. The primary objective of the project was to promote environmental conservation by increasing green cover while encouraging the cultivation of trees that can provide long-term economic benefits and nutritional value to the community. The initiative also aimed to raise awareness about the importance of tree plantation in combating climate change, improving air quality, and preserving biodiversity.Community members actively participated in the program and pledged to nurture the saplings, ensuring their healthy growth and long-term survival.
